Home Field Advantage - NFL Week 13 - Justin Rhoades - Raleigh, NC

The last few weeks of the season are mainly about jockeying for position in the standings. Top teams are trying to keep winning to maintain home field advantage and the teams in the hunt are going all out to win and keep their seasons alive. When it comes to jockeying for position and consistently putting yourselves in the best possible position to win, it doesn't get any better than the Patriots with Belichick and Brady. Every year they win their division and get ready to go on a deep run into January, this year is more of the same as they held serve by defeating the Dolphins in Week 12 to keep even with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the top seed in the AFC.

Tom Brady stayed terrific even as he was under pressure and turned the ball over uncharacteristically against an aggressive Dolphins defense. Throwing 4 TDs and 227 yards, while turning the ball over twice was plenty to hold off Miami. They have several more AFC East matchups in the upcoming weeks, it looks like the number one seed is the Patriot's to lose, I just don't see Bills, Dolphins, and Jets keeping them from achieving that goal. They don't want to have to go into Pittsburgh in January and who could blame them.

Antonio Brown is a gifted receiver that makes the most difficult catches look routine and Le'Veon Bell is a runner that gets better as the games goes along. These two make it so hard to put the Steelers out of a game because they cans core so quickly and with a lead they can play keep away with the ball. Even if the Patriots get home field advantage in the playoffs, the Steelers are one of the few teams that could go into Foxboro and win.

Pittsburgh had their hands full against Green Bay on Sunday Night Football. The Packers, minus Aaron Rodgers, came to play and had the lead for a good portion of this game. Hundley didn't seem scared by the primetime moment and really stepped up to give his team a chance in the game, delivering 3 TDs and 245 yards with no interceptions. As impressive a showing as Green Bay's younger players had, the Steelers still pulled out their 9th win of the season to keep pace with New England. Now onto the picks!
