Well, I've been saying for the last few weeks that the Patriots and Steelers would come down to who can get home field advantage. In week 14, the Steelers made another furious, 4th quarter comeback with a field goal from Chris Boswell. This is becoming quite a trend the last few weeks. The Patriots however upheld a tradition of shitting the bed in Miami. Jay Cutler looked like the QB every body thought he was ten years ago and Kenyan Drake roasted the Patriots defense with 193 total yards. Not quite what the league was expecting, but that is what happens in the NFL. A week of unexpected outcomes.

Back to the Steelers though, the combination of Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell are proving to be almost unstoppable. The defense of the Steelers is a different story altogether though. Since Shazier went down with that brutal spinal injury and put his entire future into question, the team has struggled against the run, tight ends, and really any plays stretching the defense sideline to sideline. In an up and down divisional game against the Ravens, Pittsburgh proved their resolve and ability to win in a multitude of fashions. This will prove valuable come January and should be fun to watch Sunday against the Patriots!

The Jacksonville Jaguars proved to be the real deal by beating Seattle and almost causing a fight several times towards the end of the contest. Fans were even throwing things at the Seattle players during the scrum that resulted in several ejections and fines. It was quite a scene watching drinks fly as a Seattle player tried to climb into the stands and take matters into his own hands.

This whole thing was an ugly look for the league and rained a little on the parade of the Jaguars winning an important home game in December against a former Super Bowl Champ. Oh well though, the games keep coming and luckily it didn't get too out of hand. The main story is really that the victory put Jacksonville in the driver's seat going forward and took over first place in the AFC South. An unexpected event to say the least, I can't wait to see how this shakes out. Now onto the picks!
